I was absolutely thrilled to shoot Jennifer Walby and Ben Prouts' wedding on June 14th. We started the day at Salon Circa downtown where Jennifer and her sisters were getting their hair and make-up done. The ceremony was at the beautiful Bastyr University Chapel and the reception was at the Edmonds Conference Centre. The energy of the day was fabulous and Jennifer and Ben were so much fun! Hi, I've finally taken the plunge and started my blog! I'm really excited to share with you my recent work, travel images, and any good news that I have. So, just a little bit about myself. I was born in England but grew up in Australia. I spent summers at the beach, went to the movies, hung out with friends, and generally just enjoyed life! After graduating from University with a degree in Psychology, I decided, on a whim, to move to China and teach English. This was one of the best decisions of my life as I met my future husband there (he's from Seattle) and we had the opportunity to travel through Asia. We traveled through Tibet, lived in Japan for 4 years, went to Laos, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, and India (my husband proposed to me at the Taj Mahal at sunrise:-) During our travels I fell in love with photography. I fell in love with the raw beauty of the local people we met, the simplicity of their lives, and their joy and kindness. Seeing the world through the lens is such an amazing inspiration for my life! Fast forward a few years...we got married in Australia with family and a few close friends present. Spent our honeymoon in stunning New Zealand using up loads of film (back when we were film camera users). Lived in England for a brief time, and traveled to France, Italy, and Spain (and drank way too much wine!) And now, we are back in Seattle. I love to travel, I love photography, I love weddings, I love babies, I love families...quite simply, I love what I do!
